As part of this scheme, each graduate will follow a series of rotations designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of power unit development. In the Powertrain Hybrid Pack specialism, you’ll develop your knowledge high- and low-voltage electrical engineering while also designing to stringent mechanical criteria and limitations. The Control Systems specialism offers a unique chance to work across electrical systems, crucial safety algorithms, and full power unit controller development as you expand your existing expertise and theoretical knowledge of controls engineering. These rotations will equip you with a multidisciplinary foundation as you carve out a career within Red Bull Powertrains and contribute to Red Bull’s relentless pursuit of innovation and competitive advantage in Formula One. What You’ll Experience: Fast-Track Development: Tackle complex projects, innovate at speed and own your engineering impact World-Class Mentoring: Learn from pioneers of F1 power unit engineering Professional Growth: Build leadership, project management and technical excellence, on off the track A Career with Traction: Graduate into a full-time, high-impact engineering role within the Red Bull Technology Group To be considered for the RBEA: Bachelor’s Honours Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Physics (minimum 2:1) A demonstrable passion for engineering through personal projects, competitions, or practical experience A solid understanding of engineering principles and the ability to apply mathematical methods to solve real-world problems Familiarity with specialist modelling and analysis tools such as CAD, FEA, CFD, or system modelling Knowledge of electronic design and simulation tools (LTSpice or similar) including the design and layout of PCBs, including electronic circuit testing, debugging, and validation Experience with handling and analysing data from simulations or physical tests, and the ability to confidently prepare and present high-quality technical documentation Positive, can-do, attitude and willingness to continually expand your professional knowledge and develop technical skills Excellent communication skills and experience working in a team environment Curiosity, creativity and the courage to challenge convention allied to a relentless desire to push performance boundaries Skills You’ll Master: Using theoretical engineering knowledge to drive real-world innovation Leading complicated design and development projects with ownership and accountability Managing tightly controlled resources in high-pressure environments Effectively communicating advanced technical work to team-mates with clarity and confidence Embedding safety, ethics and sustainability into every engineering solution This isn’t just a graduate programme.
