About The RoleUNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFEMAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFEWe have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Present, a category B Prison located in Preston.HMP Preston is a remand male prison age from 18 + and a capacity of 680.We are looking for a Substance Misuse Nurse with previous experience working with patients, ideally, you will already be RC GP 1 in Substance Misuse or be willingness to undertake.You will be based in the healthcare department and some expectations to work on the wings.Interviews will be held on Wednesday 3rd DecemberHours:Monday - Sunday - 37.5 hours per week7.30am - 8.30pmEvery other weekend2 week rolling rotaSalary:This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary between £34,428 - £41,659 per annum FTE - depending on experience.How will we support you?Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training courseCompetency frameworkRegional and national career development opportunitiesOur bespoke Learning Management System to address your learning needsSupport from the wider teamCandidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.What you\'ll be doingAs a Substance Misuse Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You willWork as part of a multi-disciplinary team, prioritising patient care to develop individualised packages of care through comprehensive assessment and recovery planningDeliver a range of treatment options including clinical and psychosocial interventions in both a group and 1-1 setting with recovery at the centre of our healthcare wellbeing modelBe able to carry out comprehensive assessments, initiate and review individual recovery plans and confidently communicate the full range of treatment options available to service users.Monitor therapeutic responses to medication and potential side effects and liaise with prescribers. You will work with individuals, on a 1-1 basis, providing advice and informationSupport in group work delivery and liaise with prescribers and Recovery Practitioners on clinical interventions.
