General Practitioner (GP) / Advanced Health Screening Doctor - Private Patients Location: London clinics, including New Broad Street, Canary Wharf, Bank, Tooley Street, Victoria, Baker Street, The Shard, and many more. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm or 9am to 6pm (including a 1-hour lunch and 1-hour protected administration time). Contract Type: Permanent, salaried. Full or part-time, minimum 6 sessions per week. Salary: £10,400 per annum per session. If you have an appetite for health screening and are prepared to complete up to 6 screenings per day, you may be eligible for an additional Health Screening annual allowance ranging from £8,000 to £12,000. Benefits: Paid indemnity, up to 5 days paid study leave, private medical insurance, private pension, and a wide range of financial and wellbeing services. Training: Extensive training through the HCA UK GP Academy. Many GPs enter the profession wanting to spend real time with patients, only to find themselves pushed from one appointment to the next. In our private patient clinics, you’ll have the space to practise differently – without the rush, with access to clear referral pathways, and with patients who come looking for proactive, personalised guidance. As the UK’s largest employer of private GPs specialising in corporate healthcare, we can offer you the chance to focus on clinical conversations that feel meaningful again, working primarily with London-based corporate professionals who value clarity and continuity. As a General Practitioner (GP) / Advanced Health Screening Doctor at HCA you’ll use your time to dig deeper into lifestyle, prevention and long-term health, carrying out detailed health assessments and more routine GP appointments. Many patients come through corporate contracts, so you’ll be supporting people who are motivated to understand their health and ready to make changes that fit demanding working lives. With access to advanced diagnostics and respected specialists across HCA UK, you can recommend plans that feel realistic and backed by a pathway you trust, rather than reacting to symptoms in isolation. What You’ll Do Deliver personalised GP consultations and health screenings (15‑minute reviews up to 1 hour). Carry out procedures such as blood draws, vaccinations, smear tests and ECGs. Use diagnostics and rapid pathways to support timely decisions. Provide tailored guidance on lifestyle, risk and long-term wellbeing. Refer patients to specialists and therapies when clinically appropriate. What Else You Can Expect Community: Part of a network of over 140 private GPs, access to our GP Academy, and regular peer sessions. Growth: Opportunity to develop specialist interests and clinics such as menopause, neurodiversity or men’s health, supported by funded CPD and studies like a Diploma in Lifestyle Medicine or Occupational Health. Recognition: Impact measured through patient outcomes, referral quality, collaborative working, and time invested in preventative care rather than patient volume. Compassion: Schedule built to protect work‑life balance – no home visits, no weekends, no out‑of‑hours work, giving time to practise rewarding medicine without sacrificing own wellbeing. What We’re Looking For Hold a GMC registration and inclusion on the GP register (performers list not required). Have a minimum of 1 year post‑qualification experience. Be able to conduct smear tests, vaccinations, blood draws, and ECGs. Demonstrate basic health screening skills; further training will be provided for advanced diagnostics unique to HCA UK. Have strong communication and IT skills. Why choose HCA UK Primary Care?
