OverviewJoin our team at M&S as a Customer Assistant in our Foods section, where you'll become a champion of our high-quality products, great value offers, and excellent customer service. We're seeking passionate individuals who take pride in their knowledge of M&S Food products and are excited to share it with our customers.Working Pattern:Sunday - 05:00-09:00Wednesday - 05:00-09:00Friday - 05:00-09:00This job role involves working early mornings and this means we can't consider applications from anyone under the age of 18. This is to comply with the relevant health and safety legislation and to keep our colleagues safe in the workplace.Due to operational requirements, all successful Candidates will be asked to work up to full time during the weeks commencing 14th and 21st December.Please note that the + £3.00 p/h unsocial premium is only added on any hours worked between 22:00-06:00ResponsibilitiesServe our customers efficiently, both on the shop floor and at service pointsKeep the store clean and tidy, ensuring that our shelves are always stocked with productMonitor and deliver on the daily sales targets, priorities, promotions and selling opportunitiesProactively engage with customers to understand their needs, make recommendations and deliver remarkable service throughout their visit to storeBuild expert product knowledge to sell and recommend our products and servicesWe'll give you the training to utilise all digital tools and communication channels to deliver for the customer every timeKey CapabilitiesHigh levels of customer serviceCommitted to delivering excellent work with great attention to detailOpen to and acts upon feedback, asking for this regularlyTakes accountability for planning and managing own workload efficientlyStrong communication skillsAdaptable to changing situationsBuilds positive relationships by being a good listenerGood level of digital capabilityEverything we stand forM&S is ready to push boundaries to lead the retail industry into a greener, speedier, more inspiring digital era.
