Environmental Water Quality Consultant / Senior Consultant (Riverine Modelling) Be among the first 25 applicants to join a multidisciplinary team at Stantec where you can work in a diverse, welcoming, and fun environment on exciting projects. We are looking for Water Quality Modellers to support water companies across the UK and Ireland and other stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions that meet increasingly stringent water quality standards. About You You are degree qualified in a relevant field, with postgraduate qualifications and/or experience within the water industry, and either you are working towards or already are a chartered member of a relevant professional institution. You should have experience with at least one type of water quality modelling software (e.g. MIKE, Delft3D, SAGIS‑SIMCAT, RQP) applied to inland systems, modelling physicochemical, biological, bacterial, or chemical parameters. You should also have a basic understanding of freshwater regulatory standards. A background or understanding of the regulated water industry and/or catchment and nature‑based solutions is advantageous but not mandatory. You must be able to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders and collaborate closely with clients and multidisciplinary staff. Key Accountabilities Delivery of technically sound quantitative models to support wider project delivery. Author and reviewer of technical evidence‑led reports, ensuring compliance with quality assurance processes. Provide timely technical input and expertise to multidisciplinary projects and programme work. Build client relationships and continuously develop services across the UK water sector. Mentor junior staff and strengthen relationships with other disciplines.
