Supplier Quality Engineering Specialist – GE Vernova As the Supplier Quality Engineer, you will lead a global Supplier Management team, overseeing supplier capability and quality across supplier development and monitoring activities. You will manage Supplier Management within specified GE Manufacturing facilities, focusing on PCBs (Electronic Boards) and collaborate with Sourcing, Procurement, Project Quality Assurance, and Engineering to deliver quality products with a cost mindset. Roles and Responsibilities Provide both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development, including parts qualifications, action plans, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers toward industrial standards of excellence. Develop in-depth discipline knowledge and apply prior experience to execute functional policy and strategy. Utilize technical expertise and judgment to solve problems, leveraging internal resources as needed. Lead the development and execution of short- and mid-term Supplier Management strategies to create competitive advantage in partnership with Sourcing, Operations, Quality and Engineering. Execute QMS and compliance requirements associated with Supplier Quality Management, covering supplier QMS, process, capability, and development plans. Drive supplier improvements through RCAs, process/product qualification, SDR process management, and CoPQ recovery. Support improvement in Supplier Management processes via digitization, simplification, communication, and recommendations. Manage key Supplier Management metrics. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering with electronics. Training or accreditation in IPC‑A‑610. Significant experience in Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Quality Management. Experience in Control Cubicle Wiring, PCB Manufacture and Quality, Wiring Standards, Crimping and Harness Assembly. Proficient communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus. Excellent leadership skills, cross‑functional teamwork, understanding of business and supplier impact factors. Strong influence and communication to build relationships and drive continuous improvement across global boundaries. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time. Desired Characteristics Additional degree in industrial, electrical, or electronics engineering (preferred). Experience in Supplier Quality and related quality activities across technical areas, program management, compliance and general product quality. Proven leadership in driving results, process improvements, and change acceleration. Focus on customer experience as the main driver for quality.
