Your Role As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will work within software engineering teams to design, implement, and support automated CI/CD pipelines and operational solutions. Your responsibilities will span automation, operations, mentoring, collaboration, service reliability, and deployments. Automation: Design and enhance reusable CI/CD solutions using industry best practices. Operations: Monitor production and test environments, building dashboards and alerting rules. Mentoring: Develop junior/intermediate DevOps engineers to maximize their potential. Collaboration and Sharing: Work with cross‑functional teams to automate requirements early in the development lifecycle and share knowledge within the DevOps community. Service Reliability: Troubleshoot and resolve issues through dashboards, logs, and proactive solutions. Deployments: Write and run deployment automation tools using Helm, Ansible, or other configuration management systems. Technologies You Will Use Containerisation and virtualization: Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, VMWare Build and deployment automation: Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Maven, Helm Instrumentation and monitoring: Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Languages and frameworks: Bash, Java, Groovy, Go, Python, React Big data technologies: Cassandra, ArangoDB, Hadoop, Kafka, MongoDB, MinIO About You You have an automation‑first mindset, enjoy sharing knowledge, and are a keen problem‑solver who thrives under pressure. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 4 years of experience applying DevOps practices and implementing solutions using Python, Java, and shell scripting. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Travis CI. Proficiency with container and container platform technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Experience in mentoring and supporting other DevOps engineers. Experience working in a microservice‑oriented environment. Operational knowledge of distributed systems and troubleshooting network‑related issues. Applying security practices within the software development lifecycle. Understanding of software delivery practices such as Git branching models and configuration management. Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Helm, or Puppet. Knowledge of build tools such as Maven or Gradle. Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases. Nice to Have Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware. Expertise in writing Jenkins deployment pipelines using Groovy and Jenkinsfiles. Practical experience with feature toggling, no‑downtime deployments, and blue‑green deployments.
