Senior Care Assistant – Care Concern Group Join to apply for the Senior Care Assistant role at Care Concern Group. Care and Support - Ailsa Lodge Care Home. Contract: Full Time. Salary: £13.60 per hour. Shift Type: Days & Nights Available. Contracted hours: 36. Situated in Bishopton, Renfrewshire, our care home provides Residential, Dementia & Respite care for 36 residents. What We Offer £13.60 per hour Contracted to 36 hours per week Paid Breaks Pension Onsite Parking Paid PVG Uniform Provided 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract) Responsibilities Lead and coordinate staff for smooth running of the home and create the right atmosphere. Assist residents with dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility, prioritizing dignity and independence. Oversee medication management, including ordering, administration, and documentation. Engage with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members for clear, compassionate communication. Foster teamwork, respect diversity, and promote a supportive environment. Welcome visitors and show prospective residents and families around the home’s facilities. Respond promptly to emergency call bells, assess situations, and provide or call for assistance as needed. Write and update care plans, risk assessments, and case notes reflecting residents’ needs and wishes. Participate in staff meetings, training, and e-learning for professional development. Adhere to health and safety policies, including COSHH, and escalating concerns to management. Requirements SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care. Medication training: Practical Medication Administration with competencies. Leadership skills: ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, delegating tasks effectively while maintaining a supportive environment.
