Wood is recruiting for a Senior Network & Cyber Security Engineer experienced in Automation and Control Network design and implementation to join our Systems Integration team as part of Wood Consulting business unit to support across our UK projects. This is a hybrid role that can be based at any of the following UK offices: Aberdeen, Staines, Reading, Glasgow or Northampton with the expectation of travel as required. Applicants must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check. As a Senior Network & Cyber Security Engineer, you will assist in the provision of cyber security, networking, secure architectures, solutions, vulnerability and risk assessments, technologies and procedures to support Wood assignments / project teams and clients. It will take all of us working together to deliver solutions to the world’s most critical challenges.Expected:Minimum BSc Degree or equivalent demonstratable experienceCertifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CWNP, ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Certificates, or GICSP are highly desirableSignificant experience and competency in Control System Network Design EngineeringGood understanding of IEC62443 Industrial Cyber SecurityGood understanding of IEC27001/2 Information Security ManagementGood general knowledge of each Automation and Control engineering disciplineKnowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, OPC) and their security implicationsExperienced in writing Network specificationsDetailed experience with multiple system implementation projects and / or control system platformsExperience in Brownfield upgrades / replacement automation and control projectsMust have thorough knowledge of engineering practices, methodologies and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specificationsKnowledge of modern automation and control applications, tools, methodologies, or equivalent training / experienceUnderstanding of the interplay between physical security and cybersecurity in OT environmentsFamiliarity with safety standards and regulations relevant to OT environmentsGood working knowledge of current industry specific technology and the application of current engineering software / tools and trendsInquisitive, well organized and have a keen eye for detailDesirableExperience with Networks containing Rockwell, Honeywell and Schneider PLC / SCADA systemsFamiliarity with telecom protocols, satellite communication and radio-link technologiesExperience of OT Intrusion Detection SystemsAbout UsWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
