Job OverviewPost leads the Strategy, Policy, and Performance service to ensure effective and efficient delivery of a range of services and functions that support the Council. The role includes strategy and policy development, continuous improvement, performance management, community planning, equalities, and data and insights. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will develop the Council's Strategic Business plans and implement key Council objectives as set out in the Council Plan and the East Lothian Plan (East Lothian Partnership's Local Outcome Improvement Plan). Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage day-to-day operations of Strategy, Policy and Performance and Organisational Development activities.Embed a culture of continuous improvement and performance management across the Service and throughout East Lothian Council.Lead on the Council\'s Improvement to Excellence Framework.Coordinate the management of the Strategy, Policy, and Performance service to support effective delivery of services across the Council, including Strategy and Policy Development, Continuous Improvement, Performance Management, Community Planning, Equalities, Data and Insights.Develop the Council\'s Strategic Business plans in line with the Council Plan and the East Lothian Plan.Home/Hybrid WorkingHome or hybrid working will be considered in accordance with East Lothian Council\'s Home Working and Worksmart Policies. Appointments may discuss home or hybrid options with candidates invited for interview. All home/hybrid workers must live in the UK. A satisfactory trial period applies to home-working arrangements.
