Branch Sales Advisor

About The Role Are you looking for an exciting opportunity, working within a unique retail environment for a market leading business? Arco has a fantastic opportunity for a part time Branch Sales Advisor to join the team, working from our store in Irvine on a Saturday morning. As a Branch Sales Advisor you will deliver high levels of customer service, and actively drive sales activity, improving customer loyalty and growing Arco’s profitability. The Branch Sales Advisor role is a part time position, working on Saturday morning each week for 4 hours. Don’t worry if you don’t know much about the health and safety industry or personal protective equipment (PPE), as we’ll teach you all there is to know, and provide you with a platform to learn, develop and grow. Key Responsibilities Providing high levels of customer service and building strong customer relationships with opening accounts, providing quotations and customer account management Driving sales through customer calling, leaflet distribution and other sales activity Managing cash in line with company policies and procedures including cashing up, processing refunds and supporting with the banking collection Following merchandising principles, including pricing, campaign set ups and ensuring product displays are well maintained Assisting with control of stock, including processing of deliveries, click and collect and actioning weekly stock counts Supporting Branch operations including stock preparation, stock management and restocking of customer sites (where required) Complying with and being an advocate for Health & Safety and Security at all times Benefits A starting salary of £12.60 plus bonus 32 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays which rises with service, plus the option to purchase up to 5 more days each calendar year 2 fully paid Community Volunteering days every year An excellent pension (up to 8% Arco contribution) and x4 Life Assurance scheme A huge range of discounts to help with cost of living via Perkbox plus Employee Discount on Arco products Free, 24-hour access to our Employee Assistance Programme Health Cash Plan where we'll reimburse up to 100% of everyday healthcare costs Access to our Learning Management System, to support your personal and career development Long-term service awards – we’re proud to have employees who have worked for us for 40 years About you Experience of working face to face with customers, preferably in a retail environment Experience of sales, either over the phone or face to face Strong IT skills; Microsoft Word, Excel etc. and the ability to learn new software Driving licence required About Us With a 140-year legacy, Arco are recognised as the UK's leading safety experts.
