About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Estimator to join a well-established and growing construction business based in Brierley Hill. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career in estimating within a supportive and dynamic team, contributing to a wide range of construction projects across the region.
As a Trainee Estimator, you will work closely with experienced estimators and project teams, supporting the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders and assisting in the early stages of project cost planning and procurement.
Key Responsibilities

Assisting senior estimators in the preparation of tender submissions and cost plans.
*
Measuring and estimating quantities of materials, labour, and plant for proposed projects.
*
Supporting the procurement process by issuing enquiries, analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations, and compiling comparison schedules.
*
Helping to prepare detailed cost breakdowns and budgets for projects at tender and pre-construction stages.
*
Attending site visits to gather information and understand project requirements.
*
Assisting in the preparation of tender documents, bills of quantities, and supporting information.
*
Maintaining accurate records of tenders, supplier information, and estimating data for future use.
What We’re Looking For

A keen interest in construction and cost estimating.
*
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
*
Strong attention to detail and good organisational ability.
*
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
*
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
*
A relevant qualification (or currently studying towards one) in Estimating, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
*
A full UK driving licence is preferred.
