Roadside Technician – Yorkshire and The Humber Location: Ripon, North Yorkshire, UK Rate: £35k + OTE of £60k (Full Time) Company: RAC Contact: Click apply Posted: Thursday, 27 November 2025 About the Role As a Roadside Technician within our Patrol division, you will deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. Whether it’s a flat battery, tyre change, or complex fault‑finding, you’ll provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when our members need it most. You’ll start and finish your day at home, tackling challenges head‑on and making a real impact on the roadside – combining your technical expertise with outstanding member service. Key Responsibilities Provide mechanical repairs and diagnostics at the roadside for member vehicles. Handle a variety of call‑outs including flat tyres, battery failures, and complex fault investigations. Operate RAC equipment, maintain your own van, fuel card, uniform, and diagnostic kit. Ensure high levels of customer service and safety during every call‑out. Collaborate with the Patrol team and relay information to support services. What You'll Need A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with proven technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience. A customer‑focused approach. A full UK driving licence.
