The successful candidate will be HCPC registered and have the right to work in the UK. The role requires proficiency in managing post-operative and non-operative patients, including splinting, exercises, functional rehabilitation, and scar and oedema management.What your responsibilities will be for this Physiotherapist role?As a Band 7 Locum Hand Therapist, you will provide specialised hand therapy for a diverse caseload, including both adults and children, across various clinical settings. Your duties will include working in closed trauma fracture clinics and outpatient clinics, as well as managing patients on the wards. You will be responsible for assessing and treating trauma and acquired hand conditions, including splinting, prescribing exercises, and delivering functional rehabilitation. You will also manage scar and oedema care, and provide support for complex conditions such as tendon and nerve repairs, fractures, Dupuytren’s contracture, osteoarthritis, wrist pain, and De Quervain’s tenosynovitis. Your role will involve interpreting hand and wrist X-rays and offering operational support to ensure the smooth running of the team.
