A leading Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the effective delivery of hard FM, lifecycle and compliance activities across a major healthcare site in London. This is a key role within the SPV team, ensuring that operational performance, statutory compliance, stakeholder relationships and contractual obligations are maintained to the highest standards. The ideal candidate comes from an SPV, Healthcare Estates, or Facilities Management background, with strong technical or engineering expertise and experience operating within complex, live healthcare environments. Role Overview As Operations Manager, you will be the primary point of operational leadership for the site, responsible for ensuring high-quality delivery of services by FM partners and supply chains, supporting lifecycle planning, driving compliance, and maintaining strong relationships with NHS stakeholders and project company partners. Working closely with senior leadership, you will oversee day-to-day operations, performance management, risk mitigation and effective contract administration – ensuring that all services meet contractual, technical and statutory requirements. This role requires presence on site for four days per week to maintain operational visibility and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operational performance of FM providers across the healthcare site. Ensure compliance with statutory, technical and contractual obligations, including safety, quality and performance standards. Manage relationships with NHS Trust representatives, supply chain partners and internal SPV stakeholders. Monitor KPIs, SLAs, risk registers and reporting requirements, driving improvements where needed. Support lifecycle planning, asset replacement, and technical assurance activities. Oversee incident management, escalation processes and resolution of operational issues. Participate in site audits, contract reviews, and governance meetings. Provide technical/engineering insight to challenge, advise and support FM delivery partners. Contribute to financial oversight, budgeting, forecasting and contract management activities. Essential Experience You will be an experienced operational leader with a strong engineering or technical background, and a proven track record working within complex estates – ideally within PFI/PPP, healthcare or hard FM environments. Strong technical or engineering background (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, Hard FM). Experience in an SPV, Healthcare Estates, or Hard FM operational environment. Proven record in managing FM service providers and ensuring contractual compliance. within live clinical or acute healthcare environments (highly desirable). Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills. Understanding of lifecycle planning, statutory compliance and risk management.
