Senior Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher – Key Stage 3 (KS3) ASD Specialist Reeson Education is recruiting an experienced and dedicated SEN Teacher for an outstanding, all‑through Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Kingston Upon Thames, England. Primary focus is on Key Stage 3 (KS3) pupils diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated complex needs. The role involves leading a small, well‑resourced class, supported by experienced teaching assistants. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare and deliver a tailored KS3 curriculum, highly differentiated and personalised for pupils with ASD. Lead and review Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), setting ambitious targets and tracking progress. Collaborate effectively with class teaching assistants, the SENCO and the wider therapeutic team to provide a consistent learning experience. Implement positive behaviour support strategies, supporting pupils’ emotional regulation, social communication and independence. Maintain comprehensive records of pupil progress and contribute constructively to annual review meetings. Qualifications & Experience Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven teaching experience within a UK school setting. Significant recent experience teaching pupils with ASD and complex needs, particularly in Key Stage 3. Exceptional communication, classroom management and positive behaviour support skills. Enhanced DBS check registered on the UK Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). Contract Information A permanent contract will be offered to the successful candidate.
