GI GROUP Telford is looking for FLT Drivers in Hortonwood area. £12.63 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm rotational. Must be able to work both shifts. FLT (Forklift Truck) Driver job typically involves safely operating a forklift to move, load, and unload goods in a warehouse or industrial setting. The driver is responsible for tasks like inventory management, order picking, and ensuring the warehouse area is safe and tidy. Key Responsibilities Safe and Efficient Forklift Operation: Moving, loading, and unloading goods using various forklift types, ensuring the safety of self and others. Inventory Management: Assisting with inventory counts, stock takes, and maintaining accurate records. Order Picking: Collecting goods from designated areas and preparing them for dispatch. Loading and Unloading: Loading and unloading goods from trucks and other vehicles. Warehouse Organisation: Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment. Equipment Maintenance: Checking forklift equipment for faults and reporting any issues. Adherence to Regulations: Following health and safety regulations and forklift operating procedures. Communication and Teamwork: Communicating with team members and following instructions. Skills and Qualifications Valid Forklift Truck License (mandatory) RTITB/ ITSSAR/ABA – No in-house. Experience operating forklifts (counterbalance). Good understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management. Ability to work efficiently and safely in a busy environment. Good communication and teamwork skills. Physical ability to handle manual tasks and lifting. Other potential duties may include: Using packing machines and labelling devices, Consolidating partial pallets, Reporting on stock levels and discrepancies, and Assisting with basic forklift maintenance.
