Senior Planner/Planner – Data Centre (Asta) BOUYGUES UK is looking for an experienced Senior Planner or Planner (Asta) to join our planning team for the construction of a Data Centre covering pre‑construction and production phases. Job Purpose & Scope You will be responsible for updating and monitoring an integrated programme, implementing change throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires a methodical, proactive and data‑driven individual who can confidently engage with all stakeholders, including the client and their representatives. Essential Requirements Use of specialist planning software (Asta) – training on other planning software is an option. Strong planning experience on live construction sites. Data Centre project experience. Pre‑construction experience – advantageous. Hands‑on planning mindset with determination and passion for identifying problems early to deliver the best outcome. Ability to think critically and methodically. Capability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently. Strong record‑keeping skills and data‑driven attitude with project controls experience. Demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of development: design, procurement, construction, commissioning. Ability to articulate key issues and listen to concerns of others. Detailed knowledge of common UK contract forms. Accountabilities & Key Tasks Compile and undertake project progress reports. Maintain programme quality and integrity throughout the process. Conduct in‑depth programme analysis, communicate risks and opportunities, and propose mitigating actions. Collaborate with the project team to optimise the working programme covering design, procurement, enabling, construction, commissioning and handover. Chair and minute programme, logistics and delivery workshops. Capture as‑built progress data. Communicate within the team to ensure clear roles for programme delivery. Analyse documents from external and internal sources. Meet with supply‑chain specialists to confirm suitable methods and programmes given project‑specific constraints. Monitor and report progress against programmes, suggesting mitigation actions. Protect the business from commercial harm. Summarise project status to senior management, highlighting unresolved major risks and potential overruns.
