Overview Description Freemantles Specialist School is seeking Classroom Assistants. Permanent full time (term-time working) and part-time opportunities are available. The school is a specialist setting in Mayford Green, Woking, providing education for autistic children and young people or children with complex social communication needs aged 4 to 19 years. There are Primary and Secondary & FE campuses, with a temporary satellite site for autistic infant children at the former Ripley CofE Infants School building. Our classes have an average of 9 children. We currently have positions available in our Primary School at both the Mayford and Ripley sites. Previous experience with children is welcome but not essential, as paid training and ongoing professional development are provided. What we offer An opportunity to learn on the job. Responsibilities and role details The positions are for up to 30 hours per week, with part-time options available. Primary school hours are from 9:15am to 3:15pm. The roles are term-time only and graded at PS3 with a salary of £17,442, based on 30 hours per week, term-time only. Salary is spread evenly across the year, regardless of school holidays. All classes require hard work, resilience and the ability to stay calm when situations are challenging. You will work well in a team and be respectful of others. A good level of English and Maths is required.
