Join to apply for the Plant Electrician role at Ferguson Marine (Port Glasgow) Limited1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Plant Electrician role at Ferguson Marine (Port Glasgow) LimitedWhat You’ll Be DoingThis is a Fixed Term Position to December 2025 to support the production plan, ensuring delivery of production to set timescales/department targets and to quality standards.Job title: Plant ElectricianLocation: Port Glasgow (Onsite)Rate: c£17.07What You’ll Be DoingThis is a Fixed Term Position to December 2025 to support the production plan, ensuring delivery of production to set timescales/department targets and to quality standards.Implement electrical maintenance tasks and make sure all are carried out in accordance with the schedule.Install and repair systems, apparatus, electrical and industrial machinery and equipment following current electrical regulations, manufacturers guidelines and technical drawings.Carry out routine maintenance and scheduled checks set to them by Supervision and log and sign on the relevant documentation.Respond immediately to equipment breakdowns.Communicate issues and problems to senior management with relevant time scales for resolution of the issues.Experience RequiredCompletion of a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or completion of a recognized vocational education program in electrical or industrial electrical or industrial training.Confident with principles of electronic theory as applied to electrical and electronic circuits, wiring and electrical equipment used in power generation.Understand theory of operation and use of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) units and other computer-based equipment.Understand methods, equipment and materials used in the electrical trade.Additional InformationShift pattern - Monday to Thursday - 6.45-4.30pm (Mon-Thurs)Fixed Term contract until December 2025BenefitsYou’ll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme and our Perk Box rewards scheme.Why Ferguson Marine?With 120 years of expertise, Ferguson Marine is proudly looking to the future.We plan to invest in modern technology and infrastructure that can deliver world-class vessels, fabrication and engineering services for centuries to come.This is a place where you’ll be able to make a real difference.
