You will:Design, develop, and test technical solutions for live projects across sectors such as Government, Space, Defence, Intelligence, Justice, and Energy Transformation.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex real-world challenges.Explore and apply emerging technologies in areas such as AI, cloud, data analytics, and IoT.Innovate alongside other industrial placements, taking part in early careers initiatives that go beyond your day-to-day role.Every contribution you make will help deliver outcomes with lasting impact.LocationsTechnical Industrial Placement roles are available in London, Leatherhead, Chippenam, Reading, Bristol, Birmingham. You’ll bring a strong academic background in STEM, curiosity to explore new ideas, and flexibility to take on diverse projects across the UK.You Should HaveOn track for a minimum 2:2 degree in computer science, engineering, physics, maths, or a related STEM field (some roles may require a 2:1).Passion for technology and innovation, with a problem‑solving mindset.Flexibility to travel and work on projects across the UK.Eligibility for Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, with many roles requiring higher National Security Vetting (typically 5–10 years of continuous UK residency).Technical Skills We Value IncludeProgramming Languages: Proficiency in one or more of C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.Systems & Tools: Familiarity with Linux/Unix, version control systems (e.g., Git), and DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Cloud Technologies: Exposure to platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Software Development Practices: Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies.Networking & Cybersecurity: Awareness of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and cybersecurity principles (highly valuable for defence‑related projects).Data & Analytics: Experience with SQL, NoSQL, or analytics tools; interest in machine learning or AI technologies is a plus.SkillsCommunication (Oral/Written)What You Can Expect From UsTogether, as owners, let’s turn meaningful insights into action.
