What does the Disability Assessor role involve?
The Disability Assessor role will involve you carrying out 4 to 5 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You'll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP makes the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.

What is on offer as a Disability Assessor?
- Excellent starting salary at GBP40,000pa
- Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm working hours
- Full time and part time available (3, 4 or 5 days per week available)
- Annual appraisals
- Hybrid working available - this will mean 2 days are office based at your closest site and 3 days per week are home-based (based on a full-time role)
- Annual leave + bank holidays + the ability to buy or sell holiday days, Pension scheme, GBP400 paid NMC fees and full training and revalidation support is provided.

What we look for;

• An NMC registered nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) OR a HCPC qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with 1 year or more broad post-registration experience

• Someone who's proactive and keen to learn

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Competent IT and computer skills

• Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health.

No experience as a Disability Assessor is needed as full training will be provided, for which you will be paid your full-time salary. All we expect is that you will have 1 year's post-graduate experience as an RGN, RMN, RNLD, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist and hold an NMC or HCPC registration.
