OverviewOur client is looking for a Geo-Environmental Consultant to support upcoming projects for external clients and a growing portfolio of work. You will help drive the development of the business area and undertake land and ground investigations.Company: Expert environmental consultancy who have been providing services for developers, planners, local authorities, and private clients across the UK for nearly 25 years. They cover geotechnical and contaminated land site investigation and interpretation as well as noise impact assessments, air quality monitoring and thermal imaging surveys.ResponsibilitiesCarry out site walkovers and prepare Phase I Desk StudiesSupervise ground investigations, including trial pitting, window sampling and cable percussion drillingLog samples to BS5930 standards and prepare engineers’ logs using specialist softwareConduct gas and groundwater monitoring, including samplingUndertake validation samplingPrepare Certificates of Conformance for contaminated land and geotechnical investigationsAssist with technical reporting, including Generic Risk Assessments and Ground Investigation ReportsContribute to internal project management and resource planning, aligned with experience and capabilityImplement and manage quality and safety procedures for all geo-environmental servicesProvide effective management and development of direct reports in line with organisational culture, values and HR practicesWhat they are looking forDegree in Geology, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related disciplineStrong understanding of ground investigation and the geo-environmental sector, including equipment, specifications, contract forms, and relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislationExperience producing geotechnical and geo-environmental interpretative reports based on factual investigation data and test resultsKnowledge of UK legislation and guidance relating to contaminated land and geotechnical engineeringSSSTS certificationCSCS CardFull, valid driving licenceWhat they offerHighly competitive salaryCompany vehicle or car allowance plus fully expensed fuel card for personal and professional mileageGenerous pension scheme (employer contribution up to 10%, increasing with service)Private healthcare for employees, partners and children up to age 2122 days’ holiday plus UK bank holidays and a Christmas shutdown (not deducted from holiday allowance)Life insurance (4x salary)Income protectionDiscretionary annual bonus based on company performanceOn-site gym at head office, including health checks, personalised programmes and wellbeing sessionsExtensive training and development opportunitiesEnhanced maternity and paternity payAccess to an in-house Occupational Health NurseLong service awardsVouchers for key life events such as marriage and the birth or adoption of a childA comprehensive social calendar, including family events, team activities, sports events and seasonal celebrationsJob InfoJob Title: RGB LondonLocation: Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 Per annum + company vehiclePosted: Closes: Jan 4th 2026Sector: ConsultingContract: PermanentHours: Full Time #J-18808-Ljbffr
