We are currently recruiting for a Junior Maintenance Technician to join a leading manufacturer of industrial paints based in Redditch.Please read the information in this job post thoroughly to understand exactly what is expected of potential candidates.This entry-level role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with engines, machinery, or mechanical projects in their spare time.It's a fantastic opportunity to train through a full apprenticeship, gain hands-on experience, and build a long-term career with a well-established and respected company.Duties will include: Assist in routine maintenance tasks including basic repairs, inspections, and equipment checks.Support senior technicians with diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical or structural issues.Respond to maintenance requests and help maintain equipment in safe operating conditions.Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards.Document maintenance activities, equipment issues, and parts used.Maintain tools, workshop areas, and storage spaces in an organised manner.Learn to use and care for various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.Participate in ongoing training programs to build technical skills and knowledge.Core Competencies: Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or building systems.Knowledge of general maintenance Working knowledge of tools Problem solving skills Manual Dexterity and physical strength to handle tools, carry out repairs and installations.Good IT skills and able to use maintenance related software such as CMMS.Shifts and Pay Rates Monday to Thursday- 0800-1630 Friday- 0800-1300 £12.50 per hour Benefits Canteen Overtime available.Increase pay after 12 weeks worked.Potential permanent position after successful trial period Pension Scheme and Weekly pay Online payslips Optional personal accident insuranced02fcfcb-6df4-40ee-95cf-3eb059ce3173
