We are currently looking for a Terminal Supervisor to join our team based at Southampton Docks. We are a 24/7 Port operation and this role will be day and night shifts, working 12 hours at a time. This role supervises the operations of container loading or unloading and ensures optimal utilization & maximum productivity with due consideration to commercial, safety and operational factors and adherence to port policies. About The Role How will you contribute: Responsible for terminal productivity rate for all vessels and trucks meets minimum specified standards Determines and ensures that adequate capacity needed to meet the changing demands of business over a specific period is met (e.g. demand for organizational products, services and technological advancements). Managing safety (incl. LTIFR’s) and reducing rates of unsafe acts and situations Reducing wastage and error levels and working to reduce revenue leakage Smooth running of standard operating procedures Providing proactive interface with other departments and external agencies to provide an efficient and effective workplace Provision of u/c cargo lifting skills and maintaining that skill base Day to day management, motivation and development, including management of performance issues of operational department to ensure capabilities and strength meet current and future needs What will you Bring. Strong operations expertise with a minimum of 3 years Supervisory or Managerial Experience Ability/experience in monitoring KPI's and performance metrics Appointed Person Qualification, or equivalent experience. Experience with developing and managing DP World Safe Systems of Work. Experience and knowledge of Terminal Engineering Procedures. TOS/Zodiac knowledge. 1:1 Experience.
