About the role: Samsara’s IoT solution, which includes technologies for fleets ranging from GPS tracking to route optimization and AI-powered dash cameras, is being adopted by thousands of new customers every quarter. We are seeking a dynamic communications leader in EMEA to help accelerate the adoption of our technology by the market and establish Samsara’s position as the leader in connected fleets. We are looking for a highly motivated person with a talent for crafting narratives, executing integrated communications, partnering with executives, and developing full-spectrum communications (PESO and Employee) strategies in a complex and rapidly growing organization. If that sounds exciting, we’d love to talk to you In this role, you’ll lead the EMEA Communications team responsible for defining and enhancing the Samsara brand. You will focus on the following: Build and execute a brand communications strategy inclusive of external and internal communications and talent brand Drive employee engagement through creating and executing on a compelling employee communications strategy Raise Samsara’s profile through creative storytelling and effective communications outreach Directly lead and grow the EMEA communications team to be a best-in-class team within Samsara, exemplifying our culture and working through our operating principles. This is a high profile role that will require cross-functional collaboration across the EMEA leadership team, along with EMEA Sales, Global Communications and Marketing team, Legal, Product, and our C-suite executive team. In this role, you will: External Communications: (Paid/Earned/Owned/Social) Storytelling - Craft inspiring and empowering narratives that align to the buyer’s journey, resonate with the public, and elevate our customers. Program Management - Development of communication programs to promote Samsara’s products and services, and plan and execute compelling PR initiatives in line with marketing campaigns and objectives. PR & AR - Lead the UK&I, FR, DACH regional public relations, analyst relations, and media influencer programs, including regular outreach for relationship building, news-focused communications, and targeted activities to accelerate our efforts. Cultivate new relationships and build on existing relationships with journalists, analysts, thought-leaders and influencers. PESO Editorial calendar - Maintain and evolve a full scope editorial calendar that provides a drumbeat of proactive announcements, ensuring we’re speaking to our key stakeholder groups on a consistent basis across Paid, Earned, Owned, Social Media Integrated Marketing - Ability to work cross functionally across all teams to drive sales growth through marketing. Partnership - Partner with stakeholders to help lead crisis preparedness activities to develop communications strategies to employees, and craft public communications. Customer Storytelling / Marketing Craft high-quality customer stories: Drive the team and programme to create compelling, authentic customer assets to enable Sales, Marketing and Customer teams to run campaigns rooted in the customer voice; create assets including case studies, testimonial videos, ROI assets, customer spotlights, and presentation synopses Create high-value customer programs: Execute impactful customer education and engagement programs such as awards programs, relationship development campaigns with Customer Success, Product Marketing, Content, Demand Generation, Design, and Events Enable other stakeholders: Facilitate access to the customer community across all Samsara teams including Product Marketing, Product, Demand Generation, Business Operations, and Design Measure program/asset effectiveness: Use customer listening channels and other data to inform decisions and frequently share results and impact with cross-functional partners and leadership Championing, role modeling, and embedding Samsara’s cultural principles (Obsess Over the Customer, Build for the Long Term, Growth Mindset) as we scale globally and across new offices Employee Communications & Talent Brand Creativity – Deliver and evolve a high-impact communications team that drives growth across the company. Leadership – Track record of hiring and developing strong talent; “leads from the front”, with deep knowledge of building a brand, communication best practices, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to help execute. Vision & Brand - Deliver Samsara’s story, vision and product innovation to the media, and customers resulting in increased coverage and awareness in EMEA. Partner closely with Talent Acquisition and People Operations to craft and manage a talent branding strategy that defines and communicates the employee value proposition and ensures Samsara attracts, grows and retains the industry’s best talent. Support diversity and inclusion efforts, particularly related to external outreach and employee messaging. Collaborate with colleagues in finance/IR, marketing, legal and other teams to support efficient and effective dissemination of the company’s strategy and message. Executive Communications Strategic narrative alignment: Develop and deliver executive messaging that connects the SVP’s vision with Samsara’s EMEA growth strategy, customer impact, and global mission to power the world of physical operations. Leadership voice and visibility: Craft and manage a consistent thought leadership platform for the SVP across media, stage, and internal forums — positioning them as a credible, authentic, and data-driven regional leader. Integrated communications execution: Partner closely with global comms, marketing, and GTM teams to ensure the SVP’s messaging is embedded across campaigns, customer events, and internal communications. High-quality content creation: Write and refine speeches, presentations, blogs, and talking points that blend strategic insight with approachable storytelling, tailored for audiences from customers to employees. Programme Management from inception to execution across Quarterly Town Halls, All Hands, Sales and Company Kick offs. Executive advisory and measurement: Provide counsel on tone, timing, and impact; use engagement metrics and feedback loops to continuously refine the SVP’s communications strategy and influence. Leadership Direct multiple agency relationships and manage related budgets effectively. Serve as a strategic communications thought partner to the c‑suite and executive team, providing counsel and key insights that strengthen long‑term brand reputation and drive greater, positive awareness. Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices. Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high performing team. Minimum requirements for the role: 15+ years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or branding, preferably in a high-growth and/or B2B environment Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills (written, verbal, and visual) Experience leading or executing communications for a publicly traded company Experience leading or executing a crisis communications strategy for a company, inclusive of proactive issues mitigation strategies Experience working with public policy stakeholders to proactively manage a company’s reputation Experience working directly with executives and supporting executive communications programs Solid working relationships with top-tier technology and financial press Deep rolodex of media professionals and strong knowledge of influential media outlets Proven ability to drive PR for technology hypergrowth companies and their founders Experience in strategic communications, including message development and strategic positioning Experience managing cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders across an organization Effective communication skills across all levels of an organization and across global teams — from individual contributors to executive staff Strong organizational skills, ability to handle projects end-to-end Bias-to-action and focused on results Self‑starter: Highly motivated individual who requires minimal supervision and shows initiative with ideas that support PR strategy and company goals Hybrid creative and analytical thinker who can help teams come up with innovative ideas and measure their impact for the company Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study An ideal candidate also has: SaaS experience (strongly preferred) Experience in a B2B technology environment At Samsara, we welcome everyone regardless of their background.
