Fire Alarm Installation and Commissioning Engineer

Overview Fire Alarm Installation & Commissioning Engineer – London / M25. No callouts. Straightforward fire installation and commissioning work. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to wire, fit, test, and sign off fire alarm systems to BS5839, and wants to do it without being dragged out in the evenings or dumped on chaotic sites. What’s on offer Up to £38K basic + bonus scheme (OTE up to £60K) Real scope to progress, including moving into leadership or technical development as the team grows No callouts — evenings and weekends are yours again Paid travel time, door to door Van, fuel card, pension, and life cover Top-up training (FIA, BAFE, manufacturer courses) Supportive team and clear progression path What you’ll be doing Installing and commissioning fire alarm systems to BS5839 Programming, testing, and completing handover paperwork Working on well-managed residential and commercial sites — no tower blocks, no carnage Liaising with project teams and clients to keep jobs moving smoothly Helping out with small works and upgrades where needed What you’ll need At least 2 years’ experience in the fire industry Solid install experience with fire alarm systems Some commissioning skills (doesn’t need to be advanced, they’ll train you up) Good knowledge of BS5839 and open protocol panels Full UK driving licence and a clear communicator Who you’ll be working with This is a privately owned fire firm with a great culture and a team of quality engineers who support each other. You’ll be working on interesting sites, helping develop the projects division, and there’s real scope to progress within the business.
