Head of Digital Marketing Enablement

Summary We’re looking for an exceptional digital marketing leader to shape the next phase of Sky’s digital growth. In this role you’ll be responsible for ensuring our marketing ecosystem, tools, and data science modelling are optimised to drive smarter, more efficient media investment. Working hand in hand with our media agency partners and in-house econometrics team, you’ll define how data, technology and modelling come together to inform planning and optimise performance. A key part of the role will be leading and co-ordinating all digital marketing experimentation — ensuring a joined-up testing agenda across teams, aligned with the central testing function, to drive continuous learning and long-term digital growth. You’ll also work closely with the Martech team to ensure the seamless integration and effective utilisation of tools that enable digital marketing excellence. Responsibilities Shape Sky’s data-driven approach to digital media performance, planning and measurement Define and evolve the approach to data science, digital media modelling, and attribution to maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of media investment. Develop quarterly and annual digital performance plans that forecast the level of spend required to deliver against sales and growth targets, informed by a real-time understanding of performance across digital media channels Partner on performance optimisation: Work hand in hand with our media agency and in-house econometrics team to ensure modelling insights directly inform media planning, channel mix, and investment decisions. Lead digital marketing experimentation: Oversee a unified test-and-learn programme across digital marketing teams, aligning closely with the central testing function to ensure consistency and visibility, insight sharing, and measurable learning outcomes. Own digital marketing operations: Oversee operational partnerships, e.g. DSP, brand safety, verification, and governance solutions to ensure high standards of execution and compliance across platforms. Champion Martech integration: Collaborate with the Martech and Data teams to embed new tools, ensure seamless integration, and drive full utilisation of our marketing technology stack. Ensure accurate tagging, tracking and reporting Partner with Technology and Analytics teams to maintain a robust tagging and tracking framework, ensuring data integrity and high-quality reporting across all digital activity Enable smarter marketing through AI and automation: Drive adoption of new capabilities and workflows that improve efficiency, creative effectiveness, and campaign performance. Inspire collaboration and best practice: Bring together teams across Digital Marketing, Data, Martech and agency partners to champion a culture of experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement What you’ll bring – all skills listed required Strategic and analytical strength: Deep expertise in digital marketing performance, data-science modelling, data-driven decision making and attribution methods, with the ability to translate complex insights into clear investment strategies. Commercial acumen: Strong understanding of how digital media drives business outcomes, with experience forecasting investment needs and optimising spend based on real-time performance data. Experimentation mindset: Proven ability to design and oversee structured test-and-learn programmes , embedding a culture of experimentation that fuels continuous improvement and growth. Technical fluency: Knowledge of marketing technology platforms, DSPs, and tagging and tracking frameworks, ensuring robust measurement and operational excellence across channels. Collaborative leadership: A track record of leading cross-functional teams and influencing at senior levels, bringing together Marketing, Martech, Data Science, Technology and agency partners Change leadership and innovation: Comfortable operating in complex, fast-evolving digital environments, with the vision to identify new opportunities and the pragmatism to turn them into action.
