Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Health Sciences (Education Focused) We are seeking highly qualified academics for the Lecturer / Senior Lecturer role within the School of Health Sciences, UNSW. Key Details Employment Type: Full‑time (35 hours a week) Duration: Continuing Remuneration: Level B – $127k+, Level C – $155k+ base (+17% super and leave loading) Work Rights: Visa sponsorship not available. Location: Kensington, Sydney About the School of Health Sciences The School of Health Sciences at UNSW is rapidly expanding to support education agendas based on four ground‑breaking health professional education programmes. These programmes broaden our teaching effort and will shape the future health workforce in Australia and beyond. Why This Role Matters The Lecturer/Senior Lecturer will contribute to educational excellence across our health professional programmes (Exercise, Nutrition & Dietetics, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy). The role involves leading the development of students in professionalism, innovation in healthcare and career development. It will report to the Discipline Lead relevant to the professional practice and collaborate cross‑discipline to enhance interprofessional education. This role is part of UNSW’s Education Focused (EF) cohort, enabling academics to specialise in education and devote their time to high‑quality teaching and initiatives that enhance student learning. Key Skills Required Level B Registration or accreditation as a health professional in Australia PhD in a health discipline (preferred; significant clinical and education experience may be considered) Broad professional practice and/or education experience in multidisciplinary teams Commitment to ongoing professional development in discipline knowledge Experience teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills Evidence of supporting and inspiring students from diverse backgrounds and commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives Level C (in addition to Level B) Significant experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, including interprofessional education Strong track record of teaching excellence and professional development in teaching Demonstrated success in initiating curriculum development and improvement Track record of research (including scholarship of learning and teaching) with high‑quality, high‑impact outcomes that improve education and/or health outcomes Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence and fostering this in others Pre‑Employment Checks Verification of qualifications UNSW Benefits and Culture 17% Superannuation and leave loading Flexible working arrangements Additional three days of leave over the Christmas period Access to lifelong learning and career development Progressive HR practices How to Apply Please click Apply now to submit your application online.
