Your new school Lift Percy Shurmer is a large two‑form entry primary academy that currently has 450 pupils aged from 3 to 11, including 39 children in the Nursery and 22 deaf pupils in our Deaf Learning Base (DLB). The school is led by an ambitious and dedicated Principle, Marie Duffy, who in 2023 was graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted and was recognised that "parents are overwhelmingly positive about the quality of education their children receive." They are looking for an enthusiastic midday supervisor to join our team. Your new role The school is a vibrant and very busy school with a friendly culture and we are looking for a Midday Supervisor who will take care of all students on the school premises during any breaktime hours when students are not in class. The role is critical in ensuring the safety, welfare and positive behaviour of students, supervising them in dining areas, playgrounds and other designated areas within the school premises, thereby creating a safe and enjoyable breaktime experience. What you'll need to succeed You will have experience supervising children or young people as a parent or carer, and you will be able to remain calm and composed in stressful situations. You will have the ability to resolve problems independently, use initiative and maintain a positive and supportive environment for all pupils.
