OverviewSolicitor / CILEX Lawyer - Motor at DAC BeachcroftLocation: BirminghamApplication Deadline: 28 November 2025DescriptionOur team advises insurers and corporate clients in their defence of claims of all values, types and complexity. Our national team handles defendant litigation, including complex and catastrophic injury. The national Motor Injury team works on behalf of insurance companies and corporates, investigating and resolving complex and/or high value personal injury compensation claims. This is an exciting time to join as you will be part of an expanding team.ResponsibilitiesEffectively running the file to ensure deadlines are met and cases are managed proactively to conclusionAssist more senior fee earners and/or Partners on more complex and higher value casesApply appropriate and current technical expertise and case lawEngage with clients where appropriate to maximise opportunities to meet and build rapport with clients, at all times acting as an ambassador of the firmMaintain and develop technical knowledge through attendance at training sessions and reading appropriate publicationsQualificationsA qualified solicitor/CILEX Lawyer with 5 years+ experienceSome previous experience of working or assisting on Large Loss and/or Cat PI claimsGood organisation skills, able to work to deadlines, prioritise own workload and meet conflicting demandsHigh standard of written and oral communication skills; team oriented and collegiateExcellent relationship and client handling skills; able to deal confidently and professionally with clients on day-to-day issuesDemonstrates alignment with the Firm’s Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined and Supportive)What's in it for youHigh levels of flexibility and a great work life balanceA well-rounded remuneration package (private medical insurance, income protection insurance and discounted gym membership, amongst many other benefits)Opportunities for growth and progression including professional fundingIn person and remote social eventsOpportunity to get involved in ESG activitiesWe are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, aligned with our cultural principles (Determined, Clear, Creative and Supportive).
