Because why not do it all?What to expectWe are seeking an experienced HSE Coordinator to lead the development and implementation of sustainable Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures across the organization. This role is critical in ensuring compliance, promoting a culture of safety, and driving continuous improvement in HSE standards. The HSE Coordinator will support the establishment and management of all HSE functions, ensuring effective rollout to all departments and ongoing maintenance for reliability and operational excellence.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport the HSE Coordinator in driving a proactive health, safety and environmental cultureManage and maintain risk assessments, COSHH compliance, and HSE documentationDeliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and safety briefings across the siteCarry out inspections, audits, and monitoring to ensure compliance and drive improvementsCoordinate waste management, pollution control, and environmental initiativesLead or support site HSE committee meetings and develop safety initiativesOversee PPE requirements and first aid arrangementsLiaise with Corporate and EMEA teams to ensure consistency in HSE processesDeputise for the HSE Manager when requiredKeys to SuccessRequires expanded knowledge and experience in own area; incumbents are still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skillsRequires expanded conceptual knowledge in own area of expertise while developing additional skill setsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesBuilds knowledge of the company, processes and customersSolves a range of straightforward problemsAnalyses possible solutions using standard proceduresReceives a moderate level of guidance and directionUnderstands key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own workSolves standard problems by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedentsImpacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team; works within guidelines and policiesExplains information to others in straightforward situationsRequirements and Preferred Skills2-4 years of experience in an HSE role within manufacturing, engineering, or oil & gasProven experience as an internal auditor with hands-on knowledge of HSE management systems, including OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001Minimum Level 5 HSE qualification (or equivalent) such as NEBOSH, NVQ, or NCRQActive member of a relevant professional body such as IOSH, IEMA, or IIRSM#LI-TS1Why Gates?Founded in 1911 in Denver, Colorado, Gates is publicly traded on the NYSE.
