OverviewCorporate Tax Assistant Manager / Manager - Deals (M&A Tax)Locations: Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, LeedsAbout the TeamThe Transactions Tax team operates at the heart of deal activity, supporting clients on domestic and international transactions ranging from a few million to over a billion. The team works across a wide variety of sectors including technology, healthcare, retail, and more. You'll be part of a collaborative, technically strong group that values client service, innovation, and professional development.The RoleAs an Assistant Manager or Manager, you'll be involved in:Providing tax structuring advice and conducting tax due diligence on buy-side and sell-side transactionsLeading client meetings and presenting findings to stakeholdersCollaborating with financial due diligence and SPA advisory teamsPreparing structuring reports and reviewing legal documentationSupporting business development efforts and proposal preparationManaging project budgets and ensuring timely billingMentoring junior team members and contributing to their developmentYou'll also have the opportunity to work on public company transactions, including those listed on AIM and the Main Market.What We're Looking ForQualified accountant or tax adviser (e.g. ICAS, CTA, ATT, ADIT)Strong UK corporate tax knowledge, ideally with M&A experienceExposure to broader tax areas (e.g. VAT, employment taxes, stamp duty, share schemes) is a plusProven client handling and project management skillsAbility to manage multiple deliverables and meet deadlinesStrong technical research and report writing skillsProficiency in Excel and PowerPointPlease note our advertisements use PQE/salary levels purely as a guide.
