We’re ateam of intelligent people using advances in science and technology to solve the biggest global challenges in healthcare and sustainability.Through our incredible people and innovation infrastructure, we collaborate with our partners in industry, academia, government, and the investment community to accelerate the development and commercialisation of innovative products.From health technologies and pharmaceuticals to sustainable food and materials innovations, we turn the entrepreneurial spirit and radical thinking of our people and partners into incredible impact that makes our world abetter place.Why this role is important for CPI’sworkKey tasks in the role will include (but are not limited to the below), please download the job description for full details available on the CPI careers page :Maintaining compliance with all relevant Safety, Health and Environmental ( SHE ), GMP , Data Integrity ( DI ), and quality requirementsSetting up, planning and executing experimental/pilot scale runs ( 20 – 1000 L fermentations), analysing and reporting results to agreed standardsSupporting the smooth transfer of processes from customer sites and CPI laboratories into larger-scale pilot fermentation facilitiesActing as the primary technical contact within the pilot plant for Operations and Bioprocess Development teamsProviding clearly documented records of technical data, methodologies, and decisionsMaintaining and calibrating equipment to ensure safe and efficient operationCommunicating effectively with project managers, engineers, and operations teams to deliver project outcomesPresenting findings and contributing to reports, articles, and presentations to raise awareness of CPI ’s capabilitiesThe person we are seekingThe successful candidate will be educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in aScientific/Engineering discipline and;Possess foundation of technical knowledge and experience in bioprocessing, with evidence of technical problem solvingHave practical, technical-based work experience gained in industrial environmentsCan demonstrate their ability to apply limited scientific/engineering methods to contribute to business activitiesHave strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in high-pressure environmentsIt would also be advantageous if the successful candidate was educated to master’s degree level (or equivalent) in technology management (or equivalent) and;Was amember of arelevant professional body.Had aworking knowledge of food safety regulationsHad experience of large-scale (> 1000 L ) fermentation and working with non-scientific operations teamsWhat does CPI offeryou?At CPI , we offer awide range of benefits to our employees, this includes:Up to 36 days holiday, including bank holidays – Plus aholiday purchasing schemeLife assurance and accident insurance schemesCPI is an organisation based in the UK .
