Free up/cross skilling courses. Your Responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer Comply with all Health and Safety policies, ensuring a safety‑first approach. Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance, including both preventative work and breakdown repairs. Deliver all maintenance activities in line with mandatory and statutory Health & Safety requirements. Work closely with Production Shift Managers and production teams to ensure plant efficiency targets are achieved. Ensure full adherence to food safety standards during all maintenance tasks. Maintain appropriate stock levels of materials and book out spare parts as needed. Take responsibility for any contractors working on site. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping across all engineering areas. Support new installations and projects as required. Create, review, and update work instruction sheets and risk assessments. As a Maintenance Engineer, ideally you will have Ideally, you will be a time‑served engineer with Mechanical and Electrical experience. A minimum NVQ level 3.
