Specialist Registrar

Kettering General Hospital are looking to recruit a Specialist Registrar on a fixed‑term basis. The successful candidate will be expected to work alongside SAS doctors and Specialty registrars on the middle grade rota to provide patient care for obstetric and gynaecological specialties in the Trust. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology is housed in a single building with 33 obstetric beds, 17 gynaecological beds and 14 special care baby cots (4 designated intensive care). Approximately 3,800 mothers are delivered within the department annually, and approximately 3,300 ladies are admitted to the gynaecology ward (including day cases). There are peripheral out‑patient clinics at the Nuffield Diagnostic Centre, Corby, Isebrook Hospital, Wellingborough, Nene Park, Rushden and Market Harborough. Services Provided A Fetal Health Unit, which includes an Antenatal Day Case Unit and an EPAU. Colposcopy and minor operations suite. Out‑patient hysteroscopy clinic. Ultrasound scanning and pre‑natal diagnosis service. Medical termination of pregnancy service. Paediatric gynaecology clinic. Infertility clinic.
