As a Property Claims Director, you’ll lead a team of claims specialists handling a diverse portfolio of agriculture and property claims. Using your expertise, leadership skills, and a tech-driven mindset, you’ll drive operational excellence, deliver outstanding client service, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities : Leading and managing a team of claims professionals across agriculture and property. Driving performance, achieving operational targets, and exceeding client expectations. Implementing best practice claims handling processes (intake, investigation, evaluation, settlement, and recovery). Analysing claims data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Acting as escalation point for complex or disputed claims, ensuring effective resolution. Overseeing reserving practices, fraud prevention, and compliance with legal / regulatory standards. Building strong relationships with farmers, landowners, brokers, policyholders, and other stakeholders. Attracting, training, and developing a high-performing, collaborative team. Partnering with internal teams to improve systems, processes, and client outcomes. Previous Skills & Experience : Minimum Dip CII (or working towards). 10+ years in insurance claims management (property, agriculture, liability, or motor with bodily injury preferred) and at least 6 years’ leadership experience. Comfortable using and evolving claims systems to boost efficiency and outcomes. A natural leader who values collaboration, empathy, and professional development. Able to balance big-picture strategy with hands-on detail.
