Senior/ Principal Air Quality ConsultantArup, Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, United Kingdom Overview Arup’s Air Quality team is a national practice in the UK. We are looking for an experienced Senior/ Principal Air Quality Consultant to join our national team, based in one of London, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Newcastle or Leeds offices. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial outlook and demonstrable technical expertise in atmospheric dispersion modelling, infrastructure planning, industrial air pollution and air quality monitoring. Responsibilities Lead a wide range of air quality projects within a multidisciplinary team or as standalone projects. Provide high quality technical consultancy and advisory support to clients. Lead the delivery of projects on time and to budget, including technical air quality assessments and reports; Support site visits where necessary. Support business development and work-winning activities. Provide technical and pastoral support to junior team members. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant subject. Member of the Institute of Air Quality Management (IAQM) and Institution of Environmental Science (IES). Chartered status with IAQM/IES or active progression toward it is desirable. Track record of leading and managing a wide range of air quality projects in terms of scale and sector. High competence with air quality dispersion software (e.g., ADMS, AERMOD); proficient in GIS and data visualisation tools (OpenAir, PowerBI). Python and carbon assessments are desirable.
