OverviewTeaching Assistant position at Riseley Green School, Riseley, Reading, Berkshire RG7 1QF. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm. Permanent contract, term time only. Salary: £22,160.62 per annum (not pro rata). Start date: December 2025. UK applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship.Riseley Green School is an independent specialist school for autistic young people aged 4 to 16 years, with a capacity of 60 pupils. The school caters to pupils with autism (ASC) and complex needs and opened in May 2025. Outcomes First Group is the parent organisation, delivering specialist education and support. Responsibilities Support pupils’ learning journeys through tailored classroom activities and one-to-one engagement. Prepare learning materials and assist in lesson delivery. Promote wellbeing, helping pupils develop confidence and independence. Assist with outdoor learning experiences and off-site activities. Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure high-quality support. You will work closely with pupils who require additional care and attention; building trust and providing stability will be key to their success. Who We Are Looking For Adaptable – able to support in various classroom settings and outdoor environments. Empathetic and patient – responsive to individual needs with care and understanding. Team player – enthusiastic about sharing knowledge and learning collaboratively. Committed to safeguarding – ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all pupils. Experience working with children or young people with autism and complex needs is desirable but not essential.
