Our clients can optimize assets, drive efficiency, and gain insights to make data‑driven decisions. The Edge software product line enhances the output of renewable energy assets and communicates with control systems via an on‑site edge box to achieve its objectives.Upon contract finalization, the Product Delivery Team leads hardware procurement, software configuration and deployment, and ongoing support. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Product Delivery, you will configure and deploy the Edge software into operating wind and solar farms. You will coordinate with Site Technicians to install hardware and with OT Engineers to configure the network for remote communications. You will use the cloud‑based HMI to configure software per project requirements and deploy it to the edge box. You will handle multiple projects that may be at different life‑cycle stages and across different product lines.Key AccountabilitiesManage and lead technical discussions with internal and external IT/OT specialists to agree networking and cyber security design for edge box installationsManage completion of product onboarding and site‑specific documentation (networking, IP addresses, site topology)Manage procurement of edge box hardware and logisticsDeploy operating system, product software and site‑specific configuration onto edge boxesProvide remote support to field technicians, OT Engineers, and Site Management staff during edge box site deployment. May require occasional site visits for edge box deployment. Create and execute/coordinate comprehensive Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) to verify system functionalityCollaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful project execution and on‑site integrationParticipate in technical discussions to help develop tools and processes for efficient product deploymentDevelop and document technical processes and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and maintain best practicesMonitor and maintain the software and hardware of the existing customer deploymentsKnowledgeFamiliarity with Operational Technology (OT) networks and cybersecurity industry practicesFamiliarity with IT systems, computer hardware and operating systems such as LinuxFamiliarity with SCADA systemsFamiliarity with Wind Turbine and/or Solar Inverter Controller networks desirableFamiliarity with industrial automation principles and communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, etc.) desirableKnowledge of how wind and solar farms operate desirableSkills And AttributesExcellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshootingStrong collaboration and communication skillsStrong appetite for learning new skillsAbility to drive development of processes and frameworks in an agile environmentCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environmentExperienceDemonstrable experience in configuring, deploying IT equipment for industrial applicationsProven track record in deploying and troubleshooting controls software in operational environmentsExperience of working remotely without close supervisionExperience with SCADA systems deployment, HMI development tools, and edge computing technologies is advantageousExperience in working with GitHub desirableQualificationsBachelor\'s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent qualificationsAt RES we celebrate difference as we know it makes our company a great place to work.
