SEN Teacher REF: SENPLOY/195679 Education / SEN Teacher Jobs Chertsey, Surrey £37,000 to £52,000 per annum Permanent, Full time Job description SEN Teacher (One to One Teaching) Start date: September 2026 (negotiable), or earlier for the right candidate. Must hold QTS and a UK teaching qualification. Visa sponsorship not offered; candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Pay: Main Pay Scale 3 to Upper Pay Scale 3 (£37,000 – £52,000) Location: Chertsey, Surrey (family home). Not suitable for an ECT. Are you an experienced SEN teacher who wants to continue making a real difference outside the traditional classroom? We are working with a family in Chertsey, Surrey, whose child is currently failing within the mainstream system. They are seeking a fully qualified teacher to provide full‑time home schooling, ensuring full coverage and progression across the national curriculum. This is not a regular teaching role; you will plan, deliver, and assess learning for one child, tailoring every aspect of the education to their needs. Responsibilities include: Planning, delivering, and assessing learning for a single learner. Adapting the national curriculum to suit the child's needs. Using multi‑sensory approaches and behaviour regulation strategies. Building a trusting relationship to re‑engage the child with education. Qualifications: Proven experience in an SEN setting, ideally with a background in 1:1 or highly differentiated environments. Strong understanding of managing learning in a home‑based setting. Excellent planning and assessment skills. We pay full time, Monday to Friday, in a family home. This role suits teachers who love teaching but seek a different context than a mainstream school, with more autonomy and fewer distractions.
