As a Veterinary Surgeon at Bridge Vets your day-to-day duties will be a mix of consultations and surgery, and you will receive fantastic support from an experienced team including certificate holders. We actively encourage our team to advance their abilities and careers and are willing to offer support if you want to work towards a certificate.Rota pattern to suit your lifestyle - 4-day weekWe offer an excellent work-life balance for our team and can work out a flexible shift pattern that suits you and your lifestyle. Typically, the full-time position is 36 hours per week over 4 days with shifts between 8:30am and 7pm, Monday to Friday. There are 1:7 Saturday mornings 8:30am - 12pm with no OOH. We would also welcome part-time applicants.Established for over 40 yearsWe are an ISFM Silver cat friendly clinic, RCVS PSS GP practice, and a nurse training centre. Established for over 40 years with two branches in South Wales, we take pride in our loyal client base. We have the best of both worlds, with easy access to Cardiff, Bristol, Newport and the Countryside such as the Brecon Beacons National Park.Blackwood has a separate cat waiting area and cat kennels, 4 consultation rooms, 2 operating theatres, a lab, x-ray room, and isolation ward.Our facilities include:digital x-raydental x-rayendoscopesultrasound scannerslaserswell-equipped surgical theatresWhat makes us unique? Our supportive team consists of many talented Vets (one is working towards an ophthalmology certificate), 6 RVNs, supporting team members, led by our Practice Manager and 3 Clinical Directors (one is a Medicine certificate holder and another has an interest in Orthopaedics).We encourage the discussion of cases between colleagues and our Clinical Directors are available to offer support.
