You’ll use your expertise to create strategically sound partnerships, that deliver on creativity and commercial value for both the client and Ocean. What you will be doing: The Associate Director plays a defining role in shaping and cultivating our client relationships across multiple target segments. You will set standards of excellence and work closely with our wider sales team. Together with the head of brand partnerships, and other key stakeholders, you will deliver the tactics aligned to the client strategy to maximize awareness, consideration, engagement and advocacy with advertisers and brands. You’ll build a robust pipeline to meet and exceed our wider sales goals. Understand and communicate our product proposition, technology, proprietary research, and partnerships, in relation to client needs. Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities to drive growth across target clients and target segments. Motivate and empower colleagues to deliver consistent YoY growth on brand count and average client spend, through a client-first approach. Act as an Ocean Ambassador, evangelising our products and capabilities. Work closely with marketing to support CRM strategy development, and collaborate on client presentations. Drive incremental revenue of sponsor brands linked to major events & rights holders, including Women’s Super League, England Rugby, Premiership Rugby, Wimbledon, and London Fashion Week. Build a sustainable pipeline of media investment from official sponsors and partner brands, meeting and exceeding revenue targets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to help create exciting and commercially strong opportunities for clients, that translate event associations into high-value DOOH campaigns. Develop a pipeline for securing long‑term partners for the world‑famous Piccadilly Lights. Managing resources and overseeing campaign delivery for direct bookings. Work with revenue management, and the finance team, to ensure accurate campaign delivery and booking confirmations, resolving invoice queries where necessary. Support additional tasks as required. What Qualities you will bring: Highly creative, commercially savvy, with a proven track record of building client relationships at all levels. Demonstrable experience influencing client media strategies and guiding investment decisions across OOH. A natural presenter with regular exposure to senior clients, and decision makers Strong understanding of the wider media ecosystem Proven experience developing a commercial pipeline, and meeting and exceeding sales targets. Self‑motivated, curious, with a proactive approach. Exceptional commercial acumen, consistently identifying new revenue opportunities, maximising client briefs and creating value. Encourages and supports teams through engaging, transparent and inclusive communication. Fosters collaborative working by sharing resources, knowledge and insights to secure opportunities. Comfortable synthesizing complex viewpoints, knowing when compromise is needed and facilitating agreement. Builds confidence in stakeholders by ensuring Ocean delivers quality, award‑winning work It also helps if you have: A strong network or “black book” of media decision makers Experience working at a rights holder in a commercial/partnerships role or in a partnership’s role at an agency or client side. Experience of commercialising fan engagement zones around major sporting or cultural events. An understanding of the evolving role of DOOH in sponsorship amplification.
