Our client, a leading consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking a Senior Principal Civil Engineer to join their expanding team in Leeds.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of engineers in the design and delivery of projects within the water sector
Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including asset planning, strategy, concept design, outline design, and detailed design
Collaborate with overall project design leads to ensure successful project delivery
Provide expertise and strategic consultancy services to a range of clean and waste infrastructure projects
Drive innovation within project delivery, focusing on carbon reduction, sustainability, and serving local communities
Support and mentor junior engineers, facilitating their professional development
Coordinate with stakeholders and partners to deliver community-focused solutions

Job Requirements:

Extensive design experience in the UK water industry
Degree in Civil Engineering, ideally with Chartered status from ICE or CIWEM
Proven technical capabilities and independent judgement in complex engineering problems
Strong communication and leadership skills
Experience in delivering innovative and sustainable water management solutions
Understanding of storm overflows, SUDS, surface water management, and sewage treatment is beneficial
Experience working collaboratively with clients and delivery partners
