McCarthy Stone are looking for a professional Relief Care Assistant to join their team at their stunning development, Lyle Court in Edinburgh Lyle Court was built by McCarthy & Stone purpose built for retirement living plus. The development consists of 73 one and two-bedroom retirement apartments for the over 70s. Base Salary £11.96 per hour Hours Flexible Benefits 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays (pro rata if part time hours) Up to an additional £1.30 for working evening and weekend hours Life assurance Company pension Opportunities to stay in our guest suites across all our developments UK wide Discounts on apartment purchases for employees and immediate family Management and leadership training and support with professional qualifications 24/7 access to Employee Assist Programme (including counsellors and legal advisors) and access to inhouse Mental Health First Aiders About the role As a Relief Care Assistant you will provide the highest quality of individual care to our residents enabling them to live later life well. You will deliver housekeeping and domestic support across the general estate, including apartment cleans. Duties will be varied and include supporting and encouraging our residents to take part in a wide range of activities that support their health and wellbeing. You will help them to book appointments, arrange transport and where necessary, escort them on visits and assist with their shopping. Every day will be diverse, and you’ll have the opportunity to use your people skills to make a real difference. About you You will be a warm, friendly individual with ideally some experience of working in a care or support environment. You will have a passion for making a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people and enjoy working as part of team in a busy work setting. You will be driven to deliver excellent customer service. You will want to work in the Health and Social care sector and preferably have a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 2 qualification, although consideration will be given to a candidate with an alternative qualifications and relevant experience.
