OverviewA recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineering department with the appointment of a Manufacturing Engineering Manager.As Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of Productions Engineers to improve operational output and efficiency. Working from their manufacturing facility in Warwickshire, the Manufacturing Engineering Manager's responsibilities will include:ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the manufacturing engineering team, setting SMART objectives, providing coaching, mentoring and performance feedback.Ability to improve safety, quality, output, efficiency, quality via the identification and execution of action plans to meet or exceed targets.Leadership for definition, development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation in manufacturing.Collaborate with product/design engineering, production, quality and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product launches and process transfers.Drive continuous improvement initiatives using manufacturing excellence tools (Lean/Six Sigma).Capable of completing cost benefit analysis and generating capital expenditure requests to support site strategic objectives, as well as manage departmental budgets.Monitoring plant and process equipment through production start up and sign off activities.Ensure that Key Performance Indicators, financial spends and engineering activities are communicated effectively.Oversee equipment selection, installation, maintenance and upgrades to ensure safe and efficient operations.
