Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week - 52 weeks per year Contract Type: Permanent - Full Time UK based contract, and you are required to have the Right to Work in the UK. About the role We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Motor Vehicle to join our Motor Vehicle department at The Bedford College Group. Responsibilities Deliver Motor Vehicle Training – Teach and assess light vehicle maintenance and repair across various courses and qualification levels. Support Student Success – Guide learners through tutorials, monitor progress, and provide high-quality learning experiences tailored to individual needs. Develop Curriculum & Resources – Create schemes of work, implement innovative teaching materials, and contribute to new course development. Ensure Compliance & Quality – Maintain accurate records, meet awarding body standards, uphold safeguarding, EDI, health & safety, and participate in IQA processes. Engage in Promotion & Professional Growth – Take part in marketing activities, student recruitment, and proactively pursue training and development opportunities. Qualifications and Attributes Qualifications Required – Level 3 relevant qualification, GCSE English & Maths (or willingness to achieve), and commitment to gaining teaching and assessor/verifier credentials. Teaching & Industry Expertise – Recent experience delivering and assessing motor vehicle programmes, strong subject knowledge, and ability to apply current industry developments. Commitment to Equality & Safeguarding – Understanding of EDI principles, safeguarding responsibilities, and ability to maintain professional boundaries with learners. Skills & Attributes – Excellent organisation, interpersonal and influencing skills, ability to work to deadlines, and create a welcoming, supportive environment for students.
