About the Role As a Bus Aide, you will work alongside a Bus Driver to ensure the safe and comfortable transportation of students with disabilities and special needs to and from school. This casual position operates during school terms, offering shifts Monday–Friday (AM & PM shifts available). Responsibilities Safe Transportation: Drive routes efficiently while prioritizing student safety. Routine Adherence: Follow planned routes for morning and afternoon school runs. Student Support: Assist with student management and facilitate safe vehicle access for those with mobility restrictions. Communication: Engage respectfully with students, parents, and school staff to ensure a positive experience for everyone involved. What We're Looking For Flexibility: Adapt seamlessly to changing traffic and weather conditions. Strong Communicator: Demonstrate effective communication skills with a diverse range of people. Team Player: Collaborate well within a team and take initiative when needed. Availability: Ready to work split shifts during morning (6:00 am–9:30 am) and afternoon (2:30 pm–5:00 pm) hours. Qualifications Needed Working with Children’s Check: Mandatory for roles involving interaction with children. First Aid Certificate: Willingness to obtain if not already held.
