Neway International are seeking a Building Maintenance Officer - Housing to join our client Wrexham County Borough Council. Responsibilities Lead on the management of housing disrepair, personal injury, statutory nuisance, and tenant compensation claims Undertake detailed specialist surveys of dwellings and prepare contract specifications Manage contractors to ensure remedial works meet quality and compliance standards Investigate claims thoroughly, conducting interviews and preparing detailed reports for insurers and solicitors Act as Instructing Officer in settlement negotiations for housing disrepair and personal injury claims Monitor and report on damp-related issues within housing stock, identifying trends for senior management Serve as designated Expert Witness, attending court and preparing disclosure documentation, witness statements, and legal files Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements across all housing maintenance activities Qualifications Extensive experience in housing maintenance and claims management Strong knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements in housing Ability to analyse data and make decisions in complex situations Experience preparing detailed reports and managing legal processes Proven ability to manage contractors and ensure quality standards Excellent communication and negotiation skills Confidence to act as Expert Witness in court proceedings #J-18808-Ljbffr
