We are seeking an outstanding cleaner to join our friendly team. In this role you will undertake cleaning within the school using a variety of methods and machinery while adhering to safety regulations. The successful candidate will work 15 hours per week (15:30 pm – 18:30 pm, Monday to Friday) in a 42‑week‑per‑year role, which includes term time, non‑pupil days and an additional 3 weeks during school closure periods. A day in the life You’ll be responsible for bringing your passion and expertise to the following areas: To carry out cleaning in all and any areas of the school. Frequency of cleaning to be undertaken as directed by Procedures codes. Assisting with the locking and unlocking of school buildings and rooms. Replacing roller towels, renewing supply of toilet rolls and replacing bin liners. Assisting with cleaning up after break‑in or vandalism at the school. In emergency situations, assisting with clearing of snow and ice from paths and entries. Undertaking training in the correct use of cleaning equipment such as floor machines, vacs, wet pick‑ups, health & safety and cleaning chemicals. Applicants must have the ability to use general cleaning products and be able to follow instructions. No specific experience is required as training will be given.
